Hola Cafecito

Rebrand

Hola Cafecito is a coffee shop in Hanford with a mission to embrace their latino background while serving a delicious cup of coffee.

They wanted to pursue a minimal approach to their rebrand. So as to achieve this, I strayed away from anything illustrative and instead chose to pursue a wordmark.

Combining this approach with their desire to embrace their latino background, I chose to follow the Mexican-modern design style sweeping the cities of Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara.

To check all of these boxes, I utilized a typeface inspired by the Mexican Desert and slightly modified it for visual balance in the wordmark. Additionally, I created a color palette with a strong presence of blue to keep up that minimal aesthetic we were shooting for, while still being visually interesting and usable.

Finally, to compliment the angular nature of the typeface I created a set of illustrations that carry over that same angular quality.
